The Violectric Difference

Violectric performs without sheet music or stands. We find it creates a barrier between the musicians and the audience and we prefer to make eye contact with our listeners in a way that is impossible unless all the music is memorized.

Our wireless systems allow our musicians to move freely around the stage and through the audience. Yes, our musicians are known to leave the stage and stroll around, creating photo opportunities and close-up encounters that prove we are truly playing their instruments, not using backing tracks or miming.

We also have a wide array of costume choices from cocktail to formal, masquerade to fairytale, steampunk to rock, and everything in-between.  We can match your vision and event theme, no matter how creative or unique.

Our repertoire consists of everything from classic rock  to modern rock, dance and even Latin dance. From Led Zeppelin to SIA, the audience will recognize everything we perform. Our charts are arranged in-house and not available anywhere else.

We have opened for many of today’s major touring acts including Sting, Adam Levine, David Foster, Ne-Yo, Twenty-One Pilots, SIA, Rascal Flatts, Katharine McPhee, and Josh Groban.

Our custom holiday mashups are always a crowd pleaser and performed during our annual December concert at Orlando’s Walt Disney Amphitheatre in Lake Eola Park. Imagine hits like “Moves Like Jagger” with “God Rest Ye Gentlemen” threaded through it. They’re so popular, our concert is the second-highest attended event at the park behind the 4th of July fireworks show.

When you see our lighted LED instruments, you understand why we wow audiences world-wide. Each instrument has self-contained wireless controlled LED lighting, including the drum kit, to match the music or your room decor. When needed, we provide the specifications to your lighting designer and they can take control of the instrument lighting, syncing them to the rest of the stage or room lighting and effects.

Fretless Rock

If the full seven-piece band is too much for your event, we offer smaller ensembles under our Fretless Rock brand. You can hire a solo violin or a full six-piece string ensemble, electrified and with the lighted instruments and bows. We even offer some variety in instrumentation including a lighted electric harp or other instruments from saxophone to cajon or zendrum.

With Fretless Rock, we also provide the options of a performance set to our custom backing tracks or adding a DJ. This way, the music stays full with the percussion and other missing instruments when the live performers are solo to quintet. With a DJ, there are no breaks between songs, so the music keeps going and can follow the audience mood. Our musicians are experts at improvisation and often perform with the DJ’s hand-picked selections they have never heard before. With wireless freedom, our musicians can dance with your guests as they play.

This group focuses on modern music played on acoustic, electric or our exclusive Violuminescence™ LED instruments. We may be amplified for weddings or events, or we may be stationary or strolling (wireless). This is perfect for awards ceremonies and weddings as we can do the necessary “play-on, play-off” music as needed with clean starts and stops. This group is usually seen as either LED strolling strings or amplified acoustic strings playing modern music with or without sheet music. When you can’t make up your mind between live entertainment and a DJ, Fretless Rock is the way to go.

Every musician in Violectric and Fretless Rock attend weekly rehearsals and have spent a minimum of six months memorizing and rehearsing our custom arrangements. They perform several times a week and are well-trained in stage presence, improvisation and the policies of performing for corporate and private events.

Violectric and Fretless Rock carry performance and liability insurance policies, and are authorized to work in all hotels, resorts, theme parks and venues. Every musician has a valid passport and our ensembles have performed all over the world, including China and Japan. All musicians are members of the American Federation of Musicians and can perform on any stage in the US and Canada without issue. The AFM can also expedite work visas with other countries through their relationship with the State Department in the US and Canada.
